I had to go for a hunt in my backyard today. Every now and again, our dog will lose her collar when it gets snagged on one of the many bushes as she tears after bunnies, squirrels, etc through our large backyard. So, when she loses it, I have the distinct pleasure of trying to find it in our acre property. Today was one of those days….
Oddly, at one point, I found myself up on our covered rear patio still looking for the missing collar. Couldn’t begin to tell you why, but I glanced up into a high corner by the slider to our master bedroom. And there, I was greeted with the cutest little fella—a young fruit bat, taking a nap while hanging upside-down.
Since folks are consistently entertained by the animal life we have where I live, and I’ve never blogged about the bats we have here, I thought I’d tell of and share a photo of the darling little guy I discovered.
