Interactions with others….  I believe that it’s through a healthy mix of these that folks gain perspective and are able to better mitigate how they react to situations.

By interacting with a host of various individuals, one doesn’t have time to fixate on one thing or another.  For example, if you’re awaiting a call back from one person, but are preoccupied with others, that doesn’t allow time for you to begin assuming all sorts of reasons, most of which are unlikely anyhow, of why that person isn’t returning your call.  Instead of becoming obsessed over that which you have no control anyhow, you go on living your life.

And...perhaps the person you’re with may have insight to help you see things in a different light.  This can keep you from assuming and getting upset with the person who isn’t getting back to you.

We’re human.  As such, people have a tendency to over think things and jump to conclusions, making situations more complicated than they need be.  But, when we surround ourselves with others and go about living our lives, things have a way of playing out more smoothly than if left on our own to worry over this or that.
