A
friend recently made an observation that’s so simple, it’s beyond complex in
its reality. They stated a person is
only happy in a relationship when they feel self-confident. I added that the only relationships, which
manage to survive, are those where each person is willing and capable of
maintaining a somewhat regular level of self-confidence. For when a person allows that to slip away,
so too, does their ability to maintain perspective, a positive outlook and have
the energy required to propel them—willingly—into what may come.
