It’s
been asked if I ever just want to throw in the towel and say to heck with it in
regards to writing. I wouldn’t say I’ve
ever felt that way about writing per say, but in regards to the publishing game
and having to rewrite pieces, yes, there have been times that have tried my
patience.
I believe it’s only natural
for a person to hit a “wall” in their writing process that makes them wonder
why the heck they ever wanted to write in the first place. But then, if I’m completely honest, it’s not
so much that I want as I must write or risk imploding from all
the thoughts tumbling around inside my head.
No matter how devoted one is to their passion, there will be times it
will test their limits. Such is the
case, at least for me, with the extended aspects of writing—promoting, getting
published, etc. The actual process of
writing, however, has and continues to be my greatest outlet for
self-expression and creativity.
