Ever notice how some areas are better suited to mass transit than others?  Not that all metropolitan areas don’t provide, but some make it more user friendly than others.

Living in southern California my entire life, I’ve always been surprised we have such a poorly connected set of mass transit.  For those unlucky enough to be carless, it can take the better part of a day just to get from here to there, using our mass transit systems.  And then, there’s always the added bonus of parts of those routes being shut down, for whatever reason, and you’re not being made aware.  As such, one may find themselves exiting one bus, for example, to join up with another, only to discover that line has been temporarily stopped.

Though we southern California’s complain about the traffic we have here, really, there’s no more effective way to get from point A to B without the use of a car.
