Don’t focus too hard or long on the negatives in your life.  Instead, cherish the glimpses of good moments provided, for those are what will give you strength to see things through.  Often enough, people get sucked down into emotional cyclones that rip them from being able to function.  This happens when negative emotional stresses derail us from all productive thoughts, rendering us useless to carry on as the momentum of negative energy carries us down further and further.  Away from possible help….  Ourselves….  Any hope of climbing out of the vast unknown—intact.  Nothing could be worse, for the inability to move forward only hastens our woes, heaping on additional servings under the weight of which we’re likely to crumble.

Even though it may seem impossible, actively seek out the rare glimpses of clear skies when faced with stormy times.  They may only present as slivers in an otherwise daunting sky, but those miniscule threads of light, if focused on, can manifest into something more than originally thought.  I believe they’re put there to see if we’re paying attention and are willing to take an active role in turning things around for the positive.  The latter is only possible is one is willing to temporarily compartmentalize their internal emotional turmoil long enough to reach out.

What are they reaching out to?  Hope….  Help…. Higher knowledge….  These are the things that will carry a person through the darkest times.  The only way to gain them is to defocus on life’s negative curveballs long enough to see the tiny patches of blue sky that will, if allowed, eventually spread across a vast horizon, making things easier for us to digest.
