Let’s talk about odd people.  They surround us.  Are everywhere and yet we have no idea from where they originate.

Ever have a creeper person stare at you with such intensity as to unnerve you?  You know the type to which I’m referring.  At social gatherings, this individual will make it a point to ingratiate themselves in or near those who are having a conversation.  The person won’t interact other than to remain on the fringe and stare at others with intensity.  The stare isn’t sexual or perverted but is no less unsettling.

Individuals like these can fixate their stare on others for hours on end.  Sometimes, they’ll try to incorporate themselves in the other folks’ conversation.  That’s highly awkward since the discussion may be a private one.  Other times, the one who’s staring won’t say a word.  Instead, they’ll stand close enough as to be uncomfortable and continue their troublesome on looking.

I try not to get upset with these individuals, for I find myself reflecting if they lack the ability to discern what is acceptable and not.  In addition, I wonder if they’re capable of identifying the subtleties one person sends to another.

Whether people who stare are capable or incapable, aware or unaware, I can’t help but find them a tad odd.
