There’s something extra special about the holidays.  About stepping outside one’s self and doing for others.  Had a chance to do just that today.

Along with a group of other equally dedicated individuals, I helped gather non-perishable food for 1300 kids in need and their families.  It’s a great feeling to know that folks are willing to come together to assist those they don’t know and will likely never meet...just because.  As a result of today’s actions, those children and their families will have food in their houses this holiday season.

Again, gotta admit it’s a real high to be a part of that, not because I’m seeking recognition.  I’m not.  But rather, it’s awesome to watch the enthusiasm with which folks are willing to do for perfect strangers.  Make their lives better.  Give of their time and resources.  Share of themselves and what they have because it’s the right thing to do.

Next on our list…we’ll begin rounding up new unwrapped toys for the children of our military personnel stationed at Camp Pendleton.   After all…’tis the season….
