I’m
a fan of giving praise and credit where they’re due. Some don’t follow this practice. It’s as if their appreciation needs to kept
secret. I’ve never understood this
mentality. To me, it seems appropriate
to let someone know when you appreciate or have been inspired by them.
None of us manages to
navigate our way through the complexities of life without a little help or
inspiration from time to time. As such,
I believe it’s appropriate and demonstrates respect when we acknowledge those who
have helped smooth our path. Doing so
costs us nothing and encourages folks to want to reach out, set a better
example, help others and inspire them.
So why not show your appreciation with a smile, nod, gesture or kind
word?
